Weekly Words Challenge

It's Tuesday. Again. Already. I can tell it's almost time for school to start because our once empty calendar is quickly filling up. And that is a good thing, I think. The words for this week are scatter and collect, yet I keep wanting them to be scattered and collected because that's how I am feeling this last week of summer. I feel organized and disorganized all at the same time. You know that nagging feeling that you've left something really important at home as you leave on vacation, even though you've checked everything off your list? Add to that this odd ear ache slushy sinus head thing I have going on and you have my current mood.

Okay so back to the subject at hand, my weak interpretation of this week's word challenge...

Scatter & Collect
This bench at our front door always has a collection of scattered things.
Right now the aprons for Home Depots Kid's Workshop that never made it back to the girl's rooms. Brand new back pack, lunch boxes and a couple of notebooks for school. A movie we borrowed from Grandma. Clothes that the girls have outgrown to hand down to our third daughter across the street. And of course a pair of shoes.

For more information about the Weekly Words Challenge go check out Pickled Beef. There you can see all the other entries for this week and find the words for next week so you can play too!

I love by the door gathering places. We always have a big stack of library books on ours.

looks typical. Ours has to be cleaned up at least 2x a week to keep from losing all control.

Great photo. I love your bench, I've always wanted one of those, but never seem to live anywhere with enough room for one.

Our gathering place is the kitchen table. My Mom's was a decorative dresser. She removed it once in an effort to stop the collection. But then it just moved to another location. We used to joke that the only way to stop it was to get rid of all flat surfaces. :)

If you have a surface, the collections will come...and scatter... What a great way to use both words in one photograph!

We have until Labor Day and I am SO not ready! Yikes! This week has my brain totally scattered as we fit in cross-country practices, band camp (8a-4p every day), doctor appointments, the final week of swim lessons and beach patrol (lifeguard shadowing)...and and and... I get up at 5am and don't slow down until 10pm. I keep hoping that November will be nice and calm. RIGHT?!?! :0

Yep - all those scatterings of things tend to collect, don't they?!

Nice shot. We too have the Home Depot aprons, we love the first Saturday of the month (and the second when we can do the same thing at Lowes.:)

Yup, just like mine. Except I have yet to pick up lunch boxes and backpacks. You are way ahead of the game.
