Good News - Bad News

Good News- the job is a go.
Bad News - I still have to find the ever illusive social security card.

So which is worse? Having to sit at the Social Security office all day or cleaning out the bedroom closet? For me it's a toss up. I'm starting in the closet. If my efforts to locate my social security card do not produce said card I have no choice but to spend tomorrow in a government office. I know!

Good News - either way, my bedroom closet will be more organized.
Bad News - this is all I've got time to post.

Good News - I'm sure to find lots of fun things in the closet and meet some lovely people at the ss office.
Bad News -
did I mention having to actually clean out the closet? And don't forget GOVT. office people!

Clean closets are always good. Maybe you'll rediscover whole outfits!

Well, look at it this way, you probably wanted to get your closet cleaned anyway, right? Which is a bigger waste of time, sitting in the SS office when the card is in your closet or not finding the card in your closet but at least having the satisfaction of having cleaned it out? Then when you are sitting in the SS office, you will be more relaxed with all the waiting, because you won't be sitting there thinking "I have better things to do, like clean out my closet!"

I hope the closet turns out to be a gold mine. really, the government offices are tragic.
A clean closet always makes me feel lighter....I am weird that way.

If you have to go to the SS office, get there when they open and it's not so bad. I speak from experience. I'm ALWAYS Mrs. FirstInLine!

I've actually heard SS is not as bad as one would think--I hope that's true.

There is nothing worse than sitting all day in some government office.

who'd you meet? I met a LOVELY woman, a Canadian paper engineer who traveled to Finland several times a year on business....did you know Nokia is a Finnish company and Finnish companies are named after the city where they started? You can actually go to Nokia, Finland!
maybe I am easily amused but I find that so cool.

Well the closet is clean. No cards anywhere. The ss office was not too bad. In and out in an hour. I didn't really meet anyone because I had a book to read. And I should have my new card (plus both girls, again) in a week.
