It comes in all forms. Thought I'd share some of our cards of Christmases past with you this week while I am waiting impatiently for the UPS man to deliver me this year's cards.
Last year I built our entire card around my favorite picture of the girls. Ironically it did not end up on the front of the card. It was a photo of the girls at the beach making a drip sand castle, soaking wet with hair in their faces. The same day we watched the space shuttle launch from right there on the beach, making the pictures much more unique than the average family on the sand picture. Thus, a card was born.

Peace be with you
ReplyDeleteThat is ADORABLE! I typically do a photo newsletter. Everyone loves it, especially DH. He's become quite proud of how they come out.
ReplyDeleteI print one and then have it color copied and mail out. Gets expensive. Where did you get this card printed at? If you do not mind sharing your source?
Fantastic! Geeze O'Pete! I have to get on this! Kay, after my remaining three articles are in!
[Yes, "Geeze O'Pete" has entered and molded into my daily vocabulary routine!] LOL!
Thanks FW! I have such a hard time picking just one picture,so I like the photo newsletter idea, may have to borrow that idea from you.
ReplyDeleteFor the past 2 or 3 years we have had them printed here... http://www.vistaprint.com/
I have no idea how much your copies cost but Vista offers more choices and they are cheaper than the usual photo card places. Many of our friends are using them now too.
Oh and the envelopes are included and usually matching return address labels are free.
ReplyDeleteThat has to be one of the best Christmas cards I have ever seen. Really. I laughed, I cried. The number one reason is the best.
ReplyDeleteLove it.
I don't know how you could ever top that....
Suz, Thanks! And see our problem, how do we keep topping the year before's card?!
ReplyDeleteSo this year we went a completely different direction. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Very cool shuttle picture!! And even nicer card. Well done and so cute. I have a zillion pictures (from your previous post) of my kids where there is always "something" wrong with it. That is why God invented PhotoShop!
ReplyDeleteThere have been a number of occasions where I taken the heads from one picture and added to another to give the illusion of everyone smiling :)
That is too cool.
