So I've noticed a lot of bloggers pick a certain day of the week and dedicate it to the same subject every week. As we've previously established I am so not original. I already took my friend Drama's idea of using one day just for quotes. She posts them on Wednesday and compiles a group of quotes about one subject. I being much lazier just pick one to post on Saturday. Anyway, I am dubbing Thursdays for True Confessions. NOT that kind people! Get those minds out of the gutter. That's a whole 'nother kind of blog! I'm thinking parenting, housekeeping, work type confessions.

So here's my confession for this very first True Confessions Thursday.
I have been known on occasion to throw away food, container and all from the fridge because I am either a) too lazy to pour out the contents, rinse the container and put it in the dishwasher b) the dishwasher is already full or clean c) because I can no longer identify contents of said container and do not want to try the smell test.

Anyone else feel like confessing? Leave me a comment with your confession or a link to where you've decided to come clean in your own blog.

*The google searches from this phrase should be enough for another whole post!

I have done that "toss out" thing but when it's turned into a full on science experiment and I am afraid that opening said container would leash whatever surely deadly virus contained therein onto the unsuspecting world.

I don't want the death of thousands on my hands, you know?

SO GLAD I am not the only person to do this. Sometimes I feel so wasteful, but quickly replace that guilt with "Screw THat, if I didn't do this than there would have been no need for someone to develope all those disposable type containers."

So there! I've contributed.

I confess; I'm way too frugal to do that.

I confess I do not get all the jelly or mayo out of a glass jar before I put it in recycling. Who has that kind of time?

I do this, too. I only pack in Ziplocs and Gladware now so I can toss if it's just too disgusting for me to handle.

This is why no one spends big bucks on REAL Tupperware. Throw out the "3 for $2.99" Ziplock storage containers!

Off Topic:

Karen,

Can you PLEASE stop putting such good links on this blog? I am getting ABSOLUTLY NOTHING DONE!!!
I have just spent this ENTIRE day on this stupid computer. (although, lazy, I have been cackeling away) That Passive Aggressive Notes is the best, now if only I had saved all those letters from my mother, I could have submitted them there.

Thank You.
:)

Wow, I'm like Jenn but with a completely manic angle that would not let me physically put the container in the garbage can...

But I do make up completely ridiculous 'needs' in order to see the hot checker at my grocery store everyday. This doesn't have to be a secret confession, right? haha.

Unless it's tupperware, I do the same thing.

Okay, this has nothing to do with tupperware or leftovers, but it is kind of about saving water. I honestly have conversations with myself that when I purposely don't flush the public urinal after I use it I am doing my part to conserve water. Is that way too creepy and gross to post? Sorry. But that's my true confession. Even though it's Friday now.

I've done that too, but not with spoiled food.Just not really sure what I packed in there - was it three days ago or three weeks ago - food. I ease the guilt by telling myself that I'm feeding the homeless, dumpster diving population who depend on me tossing out perfectly good food for their survival! Also, I have been know to throw away socks rather than bother with pairing them up with their mates...I hate sorting them out!

I'm liking the responses to this post. Lessens the guilt somehow. I've already started a list of things to confess to so this little gem of an idea will live for quite awhile!
